Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) with Farah Pandith

Episode 71: New Orleans attack in the early hours of  January 1st is just one incident that has shown the threats emerging from extremist ideologies. The work of those who seek to counter those ideologies is known as Countering Violent Extremism (CVE). Doing CVE effectively means going deep into the psychological, cultural, political and other factors that push someone to the point where they’re a danger to others.  Our guest for this episode is Farah Pandith, whose been working this area for many years, looking particularly at Islamic State, al Qaeda and other Islamic extremists.
