About
Since 2003, NPLI training programs have helped more than 11,000 leaders improve their effectiveness during crisis and change. Public, private, and non-profit sector leaders across five continents employ NPLI critical thinking and practice strategies. Alumni have been at the forefront of some of the most significant crises of recent years, leading to make their organizations and communities safer, more secure, and more resilient.
Our Mission
Leadership matters. And when lives, reputations, and communities are on the line, it matters more than ever. Our mission is to equip leaders with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to have the greatest impact on their organizations and the constituencies they serve. NPLI works alongside senior government, corporate, and non-profit organization leaders to understand their challenges and develop methods, practices, and programs to meet them. It is our ongoing work and our enduring commitment.
For 20 years, the NPLI has been at the forefront of crisis leadership practice and research.
Our Framework
NPLI faculty originated the Meta-Leadership framework and practice method. It integrates extensive field research, experience, and scholarship into three dimensions: The Person, the Situation, and Connectivity. The dimensions are lenses to help leaders analyze their experiences, focus their efforts, and take decisions and actions with greater intention and precision. Shared understanding and use of Meta-leadership helps unify leaders and followers navigating the complexities of crisis and change.
